In astrophotography, long exposures reveal faint starlight, but this process can also amplify sensor noise. The “AI Denoise” feature built into the Seestar App helps effectively reduce image noise, making your shots cleaner and sharper.
AI Denoise can be applied in two places:
- Stargazing Mode → Live Enhancement: Apply denoising to the current stacked image.
- Seestar Gallery → Stacked Images: Apply denoising to already processed deep-sky images.
(Note: single-frame images in the gallery do not support denoising.)
AI Denoise in Live Enhancement Mode
- Connect your Seestar device and enter Stargazing Mode.
- Select a target object, tap GoTo, and once ready, tap Live Enhancement.
- After stacking is complete, tap the AI Denoise button on the right to clean up the current image.
Tips: If an icon is unclear, tap the "?" button to reveal all tooltips.
- Once complete, you can:
- Adjust parameters such as brightness, contrast, saturation, and framing to your taste.
- Tap the Compare button (top right) to see before/after results.
- Tap the bottom-right button to download or share the denoised image. (After denoising, the image must be manually saved to your gallery.)
