How to Install the TH10?
First, let's check what accessories are included with the TH10 upon receipt. If you don't have a suitable tripod, you can also choose the TH10 Tripod Head + TC20 Tripod set.
Step by step guide
Both the Seestar S30 and S50 have a 3/8" mounting thread hole at the bottom. However, the mounting screw of the TH10 is 1/4". Therefore, you need to first use a coin wrench to install the adapter screw onto the bottom of the Seestar.
STEP 1: Install the Seestar Mount. First, screw the 3/8" to 1/4" adapter into the device, then tighten the adapter screw with a coin wrench.
STEP 2: The quick-release plate is factory-installed on the tripod head body. You can loosen the silver fixing knob to remove it, then align the long side of the plate with the long side of the device as shown in the figure below. Tighten the screws to secure the quick-release plate, and then fold back the small curved handle.
When reinstalling the quick-release plate, ensure its long side is aligned with the device's long side. Then tighten the plate's screws - this facilitates subsequent polar alignment.
STEP 3: take out the TH10 main unit - note that the side with a circle of scale marks is the bottom. Align it with the screw holes, then rotate it clockwise to attach it to the TC20 tripod and tighten it securely.
STEP 4: take out the handle, align it with the empty side of the tripod head, and tighten the small knob to secure it. It is generally recommended to fix the handle when it is lifted to a horizontal position or slightly below horizontal.
STEP 5: Loosen the silver knob on the tripod head to slide the Seestar (with quick-release plate attached) into the slot.
Note: The quick-release plate has a protruding screw on its front and rear - these fit into the tripod head's grooves to prevent slipping. Position it properly, then tighten the silver knob to secure the Seestar.
How to Adjust the TH10 Angle?
STEP 6: Loosen the knob on the side of the base to unlock it, then hold the handle to adjust the device left or right. Once adjusted, retighten the knob to secure it.
STEP 7: Loosen the knob on the side of the main unit (opposite the handle) to unlock it, then adjust the device up or down. Once adjusted, retighten the knob to secure it.
