Star Framing

Star Framing

When using the Seestar for astrophotography, its field of view is limited — some large celestial objects may not fit completely in a single frame.
In this case, you can use the “Framing” feature in the SkyAtlas to define your own field of view and capture celestial images that better match your personal aesthetic.
That's where the "Framing" feature comes in. It allows you to freely plan your field of view and capture images that better match your creative vision.
Open the Seestar App, connect your telescope, and go to the “SkyAtlas”. Search the Object Library to find your desired target or sky region.
Tap the "Framing" button on the right. A resizable and rotatable box will appear over the map, showing your precise field of view. Use the sliders at the bottom to adjust your frame.

Magnification: Slide to make the frame larger or smaller, adjusting the field of view.
Rotation Angle: Slide to rotate the frame and change the composition angle.
After configuring, tap the "GoTo" button below to begin capturing.

Note: When using the Framing feature, it is recommended to enable both "Auto-Enhance after GoTo" and "Real-Time Enhancement".
