When a Teacher Brings the Universe a Little Closer

When a Teacher Brings the Universe a Little Closer ❤️🌌

I'm Skipper Coates, a high school physics and astronomy teacher in Utah. I purchased an S30 for myself a couple years ago, and immediately knew I needed to get the Seestar S30 into my students' hands. I was able to find the funds to purchase three, and was also able to acquire iPads for each telescope. Each of my 68 students were able to take an S30 home for two nights during the semester. Students had the freedom to use the telescope for any object and any amount of time. I turned on the feature to save all subs, and when the scopes were returned in the morning I downloaded all .FITS files. At the end of the semester I did the postprocessing. We had anywhere from 35 subs to over 2,000 subs per object. These results are the collective work of all students this semester! I had the photos printed and posted them for the whole school to see. Thanks for such an amazing product! I look forward to finding more ways to incorporate the telescopes in the future 😊
🌟 Thank you, Skipper Coates!
Love how you put the S30 into your students’ hands and turned the whole class into little astrophotographers. This absolutely made our day! 💫
